The Artemis program marks the beginning of a new chapter in lunar exploration. 　　Launched notablyin 2022 by NASA, this enormous endeavor requires the collaboration of more than 30000 researchers from around the world. The third phase of Artemis shall mark the return of humankind to the Moon – and this time, it is a woman that will walk on lunar soil for the first time. Its main aim? To create a permanent base by 2030 which would ensure major advances in space research. Olivia is a twenty-seven year old girl in an existential crisis. In life she did everything in a hurry: first love disappointment at sixteen, simultaneously with the first pregnancy and then a job (since Nadja, her mother, is a lost freak) to become an adult and responsible, to raise her two twins, Emma and Viola, and a brother who is nothing short of slacker and manipulative, Eros, who hides from everyone that he is gay.

Labarthe was very much in the orbit of the French New Wave—he appears as an actor in Godard’s My Life to Live—and his collaborator, Janine Bazin, was the widow of film theorist and Cahiers du cinéma co-founder André Bazin. Yet by 1964, five years after the explosion of the movement onto French and international screens, doubts about the true impact of the New Wave had emerged. Labarthe and Bazin assembled an intriguing round-table made up of Cinématheque Française director Henri Langlois, and filmmakers Alexandre Astruc, Pierre Kast and Agnès Varda to discuss the past, present and future of the movement.
